Mr. Spencer was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He majored in philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley. He traveled to India and spent a semester learning Hindi and studying existentialism at the University of Delhi.  An honor student at Berkeley, he graduated with distinction. He then moved to Miami where he attended law school at the University of Miami School of Law, from which he graduated, magna cum laude.  At Miami, as well as being on the Dean’s List, he was awarded numerous prestigious scholarships including Chief Justice Gerald Kogan Scholarship, Phillips Scholarship, Outstanding Merit Scholarship, and Outstanding Public Interest Scholarship.

Mr. Spencer has continued to pursue his passion for public service. He has worked with the Florida Audubon Society on the Everglades restoration project, with the Florida Immigration Advocacy Center protecting immigrant victims of violent crimes, and alongside the Federal Public Defender’s Office in the Federal Appellate Clinic. Mr. Spencer has also been awarded a medal in recognition of his “Invaluable Leadership in Public Service”.

Mr. Spencer is a litigation associate at ACOSTA, where he works primarily in the defense of First Party insurance suits.
